Goals
and Philosophy: EEXCEL's goal, Educational
EXcellence for Children
with Environmental Limitations,
is to provide affordable housing to families and provide educational
resources to children through the EEXCEL tutorial program. EEXCEL,
was founded in 1988 on the belief that the home environment, parents
and schools need to provide a supporting network for a child's education
to be successful. The frequent and unfortunate reality is that few
homes offer the environment, or possess the educational resources,
particularly computers in low-income families, to adequately support
a child's education. EEXCEL fills this void by delivering its live
audio-video-data tutorial program in the safety and convenience
of the home via the Internet.
The
philosophy of EEXCEL is that education is the greatest factor in
determining a Student's future capability as an adult. Education
must first be stimulated in the home before the student will be
an effective student. By providing educational resources and tutoring,
children have the support they need to be effective Students.
